Our New Home Sweet Home

As you probably picked up on we moved! We made a big move and went from living in the suburbs to moving out into the country. It has been an amazing change going from living against a busy main street, smashed between two neighbors to living out in amongst beautiful mature trees where your closest neighbor is about an acre away and at night all you hear is silence. Our new house was completely original to the 70's so we had a lot of work to do to get moved into the house. From scrapping popcorn ceiling, re-texturing the ceiling, putting down all new flooring, painting, changing some walls etc.. It was a lot of work and we still have even more ahead of us but I wanted to give you guys a little peak at our new home in its original purchased form:

  3. Hi Nicole, your new house is amazing. Adore the large backyard, and you have a pond! Stopping by from Thumping Thursday hop!

    1. Thank you very much :) The backyard is my favorite aside from the view!

  4. So so happy for you and your family. Know how you feel about the city to country feeling. Your house is so wonderful, you'll be so happy there with room to breathe and the quiet. When the kids get bigger they might not appreciate it but it will be very good for you all. Can hardly wait to see inside and what all you've done. Wow what a big change for you all. So great to fix things up your way. I know it's lots of work but so worth it when it's done,(just count to 10 alot).
In 1992 we gave up So cal for MT, 20 acres out on Canyon Ferry Lake. We had lived in a town house in San Diego area, then moved out to 20 acres looking at mountains, lake, lots of empty land. After living in San Diego for 21 yrs. believe me it was a big change but so wonderful. We've lived in the country since, did a short stint in Grand Junction for a few months but moved out to country again. Ah the quiet.
So hope your family will be happy in your new home. It looks so pretty, the yards are incredible. Have fun, enjoy. Happy days

    1. Thank you very much! It is so nice to be in the country, I love to only hear the animals and birds around here instead of mass cars and neighbors :) Its the best!
